The June Cleaver Experiment

Posted on September 16, 2008February 25, 2017

June Cleaver was always dressed to the nines. Even vacuuming and dusting in pearls and high heels.

Can you imagine?

Well, I can’t. So I’m giving it a try.

I’m spending every day for a week going about my normal modern life, but doing it in a dress and June’s accessories.

Come by Monday evening Sept. 29th for the first daily update on my little experiment.

That vacuum is pretty full! Try cleaning that thing out without getting filthy!

Interesting! I’m looking forward to seeing how this works for you. Sounds fun. Not sure, I have a week’s worth of dresses in my closet….skirts and dresses, maybe.

LOL! These days I am lucky if I can go through the whole day in actual clothes and not my jammies these days.

Yeah, I was thinking June probably didn’t sit around in her PJs until noon. I’ll have to get dressed now.

You would notice that the thing was full! I knew I should have emptied it first. It does make a mess. Thus the reason it doesn’t get emptied as often as it should. The one draw back to those bagless vacs.

I think all the rain has gotten to you!!! Even Grandma, who always wore dresses around the farm in the 50’s went to pants by the mid 60’s. She never wore high heels to do housework. I never wore dresses around the house. Although I wore polyesther slacks. I didn’t get my first pair of jeans until the 80’s.

I think I’ve always known you were a bit crazy! You crack me up. I have nearly given up dresses even for work now. I much prefer dress pants. Only for occasions where we’re out for a nice evening (rare occasion) do I wear a dress. I did buy one for church in the D.R. since they don’t tend to wear pants there, but I don’t think I’ve worn it since! 🙂 Good luck!

That’s so funny! I can’t even walk a step in heels anymore, I’d never make it. Good luck!
