I want you all to know I shaved my legs.
Which means I’m finally feeling better. All the headaches, fatigue and nausea seem to be gone for good. I’m still not sleeping so well, but more than I was.
I won’t tell you how long it’d been since I last shaved. Let’s just say the situation had gotten pretty hairy. When it’s cold outside, all you wear are pants, knee socks and tall boots and you don’t feel good, it’s easy to let that go.
I’m sure my husband appreciates my new clean shaven look. My legs are one of my better assets these days.
You know he loves you when he’ll still get into bed with you and your hairy man legs. Poor guy. I’ll make it up to him someday.
Besides the return of smooth skin, the house is clean, the laundry is caught up and little David has someone to play with again.
Before baby Wade arrives in June, there’s something else big coming to Mommie Daze. My SIL over at Comfort Joy Designs is throwing me a Virtual Baby Shower in May. Yes, thanks to the miracle of the World Wide Web she’s planning a party from all the way on the on the other side of the world in Australia.
All the logistics haven’t been worked out yet, but there will be posts at CJD and here a MD. You won’t wan to miss it. You’ll learn about fantastic baby products and companies, and you’ll have a chance to win some fabulous prizes for yourself.
Now that the legs are in order it’s time for a haircut, color and eyebrow wax. I’ve got to look good for this big bash.
I can’t decide what to do with my hair. Should I leave it long, cut it short? What’s hot for spring?
Here’s a beautiful portrait my son took of me last week. It’s the most recent photo I have in which I don’t look completely deranged.
Any Ideas?
Just don’t suggest a perm. I will not go back to to 1993.
Nope.
Not ever.
I would say go brunette, it looks like it might be your natural color and I think natural is the best look.
I am due June 4th, can I get in on the baby shower action??
Hyla
Short and spiked; blue on one side and orange on the other. We would have killed you had you done that in high school; but who cares now? Hubby??
I bet even the rug rat would think it is hilarious.
Hey! I say if you are even toying with the idea of long…now is the time to do it…before baby arrives. Because after that, baby will have your long luxurious locks in his tiny little hands.
I would love a new cut, color, and bow wax. No perm for me either. With all this tropical humidity…none needed!

I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better. I don’t know what to suggest about your hair. I tried going back brown with mine, but didn’t like it. So, it’s staying blonde this time.
Yeah, I don’t think I’ll be going brunette either. I am naturally blonde, just a few shades darker. I don’t know if we have more fun, but I like being blonde too!
From the picture it looks like you have an oval face shape so ANY cut will look good on you (lucky!).
What about a short cut that will be easy maintenance after Wade arrives? Something like this maybe?
