Thomas and Friends Live: A Circus Comes to Town

Posted on May 23, 2009March 3, 2017

When Mom Select offered me free tickets to take David to Thomas and Friends Live: A Circus Comes To Town I couldn’t turn them down. David loves trains and he loves Thomas. The show also happened to be just a few weeks before Wade was due to arrive. I thought it would make a nice last outing for him with mom and dad as an only child.

Well, Wade arrived a few weeks early so it was a good thing Mom Select sent me four tickets for last Thursday’s show.

David really enjoyed Thomas Friends. He was so excited to see Thomas and all the other engines on stage. He liked seeing the other familiar characters as well like Sir Topham Hatt. There was a lot of singing and dancing that held his attention, and several opportunities for the kids in the audience to interact with the characters on stage. David did get a little bored during the parts that were heavy with dialogue.

I tried to take some pictures but my camera wasn’t fancy enough for the low light and distance from the stage. This one of David, Wade and I during intermission is the only one that’s not grainy.

I thought the show had a great cast of talented performers, and was very well done. We went to Playhouse Disney Live this winter, and I was disappointed in the quality of that production. I have to say Thomas and Friends was a lot better.

OnĀ  Friday David kept asking me if we could go see Thomas again, so I think it’s safe to say he gives it two thumbs up.

I say it’s definitely a show worth taking your kids to if they’re fans of Thomas the Train.

In the interest of full disclosure tickets to the show were provided to me free of charge by Mom Select with the assumption that I would blog about our experience. However, the opinions expressed above are entirely mine, and not influenced by Mom Select or anyone else.

Sounds like great fun! Did you really need a ticket for Wade? He’s only days old.

It looks like you had a wonderful time! I sure wish we had stuff like that closer to us in my Maine town! When we lived in RI we got to do all those fun things, but now we have to drive a little over an hour to get to an event like that! Congrats on the new baby!

Seems like all boys just love Thomas…I have a 2 year old boy and he is crazy for cars and trains. Thanks for your opinion of it…I always hate paying money for things that aren’t worth it. Sounds like he would love it.

My son, Luke, would love this show. Thomas is his very fav. We spent Mother’s Day at a Day Out With Thomas at Medina, NY. He was the happiest kid on the planet when he saw Thomas. I will never forget the look on his precious face. Blessings
