Got Feet

Posted on September 23, 2009March 3, 2017

Yesterday Wade realized he has feet.

Wade was on my lap, and I noticed he was hunched over looking at something. Then I saw that he was watching his feet. He wiggled one foot, and then the other. He did that several times.

Next Wade grabbed at his toes. The first couple times he acted startled when he touched his own feet. I don’t think he realized they were attached to him. Once he figured out that the feet belonged to him, he got all excited, and squealed with delight and kicked his legs up and down really fast. Which made him even more excited when he saw his feet move like that.

Who would have thought he could be so amused by his own toes?

Here are some more pictures of the boys.

This is Wade in his Bumbo seat. He’s starting to really get into chewing on things. I gave him this soft book to play with for the first time today.

And here’s David, all dressed up with nowhere to go. He wants to wear his shirt and tie all the time, so he can be like Daddie when he gets dressed up for his quartet concerts. But there really aren’t many occasions  for David to wear a tie. Not even church, since the one we go to is casual dress. He’d stick out like a sore thumb in his Sunday School class if he showed up in a tie. So I told him he could put on his nice clothes, and I’d take a picture of him.

David, I like it? Now you need a blue blazer to go with the
    pants.

How wonderful! Send me some of these photos. They grow so fast. David looks so grown up. Where does the time go?

Oh, these pictures are so adorable!

Our church is pretty casual too, although my hubby likes to wear a tie when he preaches. During the summer he doesn’t ever wear a tie but in the winter he likes to wear one sometimes. He almost never wears a suit though.
