Me: What was your favorite part about Kindergarten today?
David: The part where I got to do whatever I wanted.
—————————————————————-
Me: Did you make any new friends today?
David: Yeah, with a girl.
Me: Did you play with her at recess?
David: No.
Me: Then how do you know if you’re friends?
David: ‘Cause I asked her if she wanted to be friends, and she said yes.
Me: But after you asked her you didn’t have any other interaction with her? You just asked her to be your friend, and walked away?
David: Yeah.
—————————————————————-
David: Those girls wouldn’t sit by me on the bus.
Me: Why?
David: They said my backpack was too big.
—————————————————————-
Me: Why did you pull his hair?
David: He pulled my hair first.
Me: Do you have to pull his hair just because he pulled yours?
David: Yes.
Those make perfect sense to me 🙂
Bwahahha! The backpack one struck me as ultra hilarious tonight.
Oh aren’t kindergartners fantastic? My son just started too…our conversations sound eerily similiar. It’s still like pulling teeth for me to get any information from him about his day. His favorite part is recess and that’s about all I know!
Kids say the cutest things. I love listening to their dialogue.
I’m stopping by to “meet” the other bloggers who are a part of the Jockey ambassador program.
Conversations with a 1st grader…”What’s your favorite part of school?” “Recess”
How funny. At least your child told you how his day went. On day 2, the phone rang, and guess who it was? Yep, his teacher.
You know what kind of year your in for when you’ve already received a call from the the teacher.
Best of Luck.
Okay, that is just funny!
that is TOO funny! Kids are so smart.
Thanks for stopping by on my SITS Day!
