Well, this is where I do that Sorry I Haven’t Written in a While Post that they say serious bloggers should never, ever do.
But you shouldn’t be surprised since I am rarely serious about anything.
And then I list the excuses:
1. Busy doing blog designs for clients.
2. I’m tired. Wade hasn’t been sleeping well. Again. Always. Never.
Lately he wakes up twice a night, then is ready to get up at 5:30 a.m. This morning he woke up at 2:30 a.m., and didn’t go back to sleep until 9 a.m. He’s only 16 months old, but I’m wondering if I need to cut out his daytime nap so that he’ll sleep at night. What do you think?
3. Busy getting David to and from school, and to and from Pee-Wee football. And the homework that’s involved in kindergarten! I had no idea. And I’m just talking about the homework I have to do. Signing forms, reading newsletters, writing checks for stuff. Oy!
Can you believe how glamorous my life is? I mean, really. I know you’re all jealous.
Actually, I hate when people make excuses, and I hate making excuses, so forget I said all of that.
Instead you can read this list of 10 Things About Me, that is really only three, because I couldn’t come up with seven other funny things today. Like I said I’m tired and — Uh-oh. I’m doing it again. Anyway…
10 3 Things About Me
- Yesterday I cleaned the stove with a bottle of Shout laundry stain remover. I thought it was Fantastic. The spray bottles look similar. You know what? Shout removes grease from tops and stove tops equally well.
- I dye my hair blonde, because I do so many things like the above that if I let my darker, natural roots grow out no one would believe that I really was a brunette.
- I’m not sure what color those roots are anymore. I’ve been dying my hair since I was a high school sophomore. That was like five *Ahem* years ago. I was still blonde back then. Although I do think a few of my roots are white now. But I just call those “highlights”.
Loves it! I use Shout for lots of things though. It’s good as a carpet cleaner. Nothing works better for getting gum out of hair.
I’ve been thinking of doing a 10 things about me post. I can’t come up with 10 things about myself that are safe to admit in public. HA!
I hate to state the obvious, but is he waking up hungry and just not knowing it? My daughter did the same thing about that age and we found that feeding her an egg (hardboiled, fried, scrambled, whatever, just so she got a TON of protein) RIGHT before bed, made it so she slept until a “reasonable” hour. It was weeks before we figured it out…and still a few weeks after before she settled into waking up at a normal time again. Just a thought…
What does Wade have to say about the situation? Ask him.
I used to always confuse my spray bottles. But after ruining a few too many clothes I had to keep them very seperated!!!! It was crazy. That is called manically mulit-tasking.
My youngest is a horrible sleeper. She still wakes up in the middle of the night and she’s 4. Fortunately if we put her in with us she usually goes back to sleep.
I hope you get your Wade figured out!
Sorry about Wade waking up at night and then getting up so early! That would make me a little crazy and confused too, lol! My son is 3 and sleeps about 11 hours or so at night and sometimes if I’m really lucky he still takes a nap.
I dye my blonde too, mainly cause of those white highlights you were talking about. When I dye it my natural color, those white highlights show up too good!
I hate to tell you this, but my son was the same way. UGH it was AWFUL! Now he’s 2 1/2 and he sleeps a little better. Probably twice a week he has a bad night — but after every night being bad, its not too terrible!
(I dropped his am nap and that helped a little, but he still would wake up at 2am ready to party. I began waking him up from his nap at 3pm sharp, regardless of when he went down, and that helped a bit. He began sleeping mroe nights.)
My 16 month old son is the same way. He has rarely slept for more than 3-4 hours at a time since he was born, and often goes only an hour at a time. I have found that having a fan in his room helps, more for the noise. I need to find a white noise machine that makes a similar noise since it’s getting a bit chilly for so much moving air.
