Ghosts of Halloweens Past {Embarrassing Photos of Myself}

Posted on October 30, 2010November 19, 2012

I loved playing dress up as a little girl. I probably spent more days wrapped in old sheets, curtains and fancy  garage sale dresses that were too big for me than I did in regular clothes until I went to school.

Naturally I liked dressing up for Halloween also. So why not embarrass myself by posting some photos of my Halloweens Past? I was kind of adorable as a little girl if I do say so myself.

1977- Dog

1978- Clown

1979 - Raggedy Ann

1982 - Pink Panther and apparently the year we got a Polaroid camera.

I don’t know what happened to 1980 and 1981, and I can’t remember what I was. It was a looooooooong time ago. I was born in May 1975 if you’re trying figure out how old I am. You can do the math.

My Dad scanned all these old photos, and emailed them to me. See how supportive my parents are? Still at 35, they humor my silly blogging habit.

Also, my mother wants everyone to know that she slaved over her sewing machine making every one of these costumes.

This post is part of the SITS Halloween party. SITS is an online community of women bloggers that support each other, and share bloggy tips, advice and fun.

P.S. Mommie Daze is about to exceed it’s bandwidth usage for the month. Will you people stop reading this crap?! So if it goes dark, it’ll be back on Monday.

    Very Cute! It think almost everyone born in the 70’s has a picture of themselves in a very similar clown costume! What was up that? It will be very rare to find a clown on Halloween this year!

    Let’s hear it for the 70’s/80’s kids. Oh, yeah! One of my most memorable Halloween costumes was when I went at the Bionic woman and all I really wanted to be was Barbie. I was not pleased that my younger sister and cousin both got to dress up as Tinkerbell…so much more girly than the Bionic woman. Really, I’m over it now.

    Love these! I am fairly certain I went as pink panther one year too! And kudos to mom, from a fellow costume sewer, for making them all!

    Sooo funny!! It brought back days past…I have a pic somewhere of me as a martian, complete with full green painted face! I would never be brave enough to post it, though 😉

    Aww, you were so cute! That is so awesome that you had homemade costumes! I wish I could learn to sew enough to do that! Well, I have 11 more months to work on that, lol!
