Monday Casserole – A Little of This, A Little of That

Posted on October 11, 2010March 11, 2013

Hey, it’s Monday!

And I totally want to go back to bed.

But I can’t. I have a lot to do between today, and next Thursday morning when I leave to go to Relevant ’10, a blogging conference in Harrisburg, PA.

I feel like I can officially announce that I’m going now that I have my e-ticket from the airline in my hot little hands. I tell you, there is no easy way to get from where I live to Harrisburg via plane. I had a hard time finding the right combination of flights at the right times for the right price. But William Shatner and Priceline.com came through for me.

My flights involve a puddle jumper, the kind that don’t always make it over the puddles, and lay-over at a majorly huge airport. Pray for me.

This is a good time to give a shout out to my sponsor The Stow Company.

Thanks to them, and their generosity, I’ll be flying, and not driving 10 1/2 hours across country next week. The Stow Company makes wonderful closet organizing systems under the Easy Track, Easy Closets and ORG brands. You can do it yourself with a kit, or with a custom fitted system. Or you can hire an expert for full service.

I can honestly testify to how great The Stow Company’s closet organizing systems are, because my husband and I  — OK. Mostly my husband — recently installed one in my son’s room. It turned a tiny, crowded bedroom into a space that’s actually functional. You can read about our experience with the Easy Track Closet Organizing System here.

So back to the conference…

I’m so excited! I can’t wait to meet, and hang out and learn a lot with all the other fabulous women who will be there.

The Boys will be on their own for four whole days. They’ve never had to rough it without me for that long. Will they survive? Will my house survive? How deep will the pile of toys in the middle of the living room floor get?

I also need to announce the winner of the Eat Smart Digital Kitchen Scale. Random.org chose Nanette Olson. Congrats Nanette, you’ll be getting an email from me with the details.

Lastly, if this post is boring and annoying you, head over to Mom Spark and read Coloring Outside the Lines. Yes, it’s more about kindergarten.

I know, I know. Stop with the kindergarten stuff already.

Hey, it’s what we’re doing around here right now, and this one contains a funny story about me that might explain why I’m so crazy.

Actually, it doesn’t explain anything at all.

But it’s proof that I’ve always been this way.
