Lest you think David is angelic all the time:
David: I’m mad at *Missy May!
Me: Why?
David: She broke her promise.
Me: What did she promise you?
David: She promised that she would pick me to be her helper every day when she was Star of the Week.
Me: Well, maybe the teacher told her she couldn’t pick the same person every day.
David: She didn’t pick me at all! She promised.
Me: Well, David, girls can be fickle. I hate to tell you, but it’s probably not the last time.
David: She’s off my list!
Me: Your list?
David: My list of friends.
Me: You should still be nice to her —
David: She. Is. Off. My. List!!!!!
Me: I had no idea there was so much drama in kindergarten.
David: Mommie, there is SO much drama.
*The name was changed to protect her privacy.
I love it! Children always know how to make us smile.
She. Is. Off. My List. -they get so sophisticated so fast….
You think kindergarten has drama???Wait until get into 4th grade!!! I deal with it every day, and there is almost always a girl involved in the drama. Girls are fickle. They change their minds all the time about who their friends are. Sometimes daily.
Who was the dramatic one? Speech Team. Plays. Genesians. (Hey, Spell Check does not like that one.) Daddy sings. Where does he get the drama? I don’t
know.
Oooooh The drama! My 4 and 1/2 year old just spent 30 minutes crying because her bestie turns 5 tomorrow and it is so NOT FAIR that she gets to be 5 before my Princess.
I am sure Missy May had a very legitimate albeit probably irrational reason for excluding David. But David should get used to this and never try to understand the reasoning of a woman.
@Making It Work Mom, And the drama is only going to get worse. Can you imagine? LOL!
That is so hilarious. I love David.
