I love wearing my boots in the cold months. I put them on any chance I get. I really enjoyed slipping them on this fall, then I discovered something that makes boots even more fun, boot socks!
Here’s one of my favorite boot sock looks I came across on Pinterest:
How cute are those? The lace and buttons as so sweet. These are from the Etsy store Sienna’s Closet. Sorry, they’re sold out.
I love the look of boot socks. Maybe it’s because I’m a child of the 80’s, and boot socks are reminiscent of leg warmers.
There are so many things wrong with that picture.
Um, yeah. The boot socks look a lot better.
Do you like boot socks too? Want the look for yourself? Well, you could buy these from Sahalie:
But I think they’re a little pricey at $23 a pair.
Urban Outfitters has a good selection, though less embellished, for 2 for $20.
I found some at the mall at Deb. They were $7 a pair or buy 2 get one free. Color selection was limited. I bought two pairs in gray:
No. I don’t have a future in fashion photography. Can I just say how hard it is to take pictures of your own feet?! Can I get an Amen?
Now, I also tried making my own. I cut the sleeves off a $3.99 sweater from Salvation Army, and sewed them to the tops of a pair of $3 knee socks. (You may remember earlier this fall I was trying to figure out what to do with some sleeves I cut off of some old sweaters.)
You could also use a pair of leg wamers, and just tuck them into your boots. I couldn’t find any leg warmers at the store the other day.
If you love boots as much as I do you may also find this tutorial from styleberry Blog about how to tuck non-skinny jeans into boots helpful.
I hope you enjoy your boots this winter as much as I do mine!
