“…You’ll never know dear how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away.” I finished singing to him like I do every night when I tuck Wade into bed.
“Mommy,” he put a little hand on each of my cheeks, and drew my face down close to his. “You’re very beautiful. I love you.”
Then Wade started running his fingers through my hair. “Mommy? Can I play with your hair?”
“Yes. A few minutes, then you have to go to sleep.”
“I love your hair mommy. What’s it made out of?”
My sweet Wade. At that moment he could have had the moon if he asked.
Totally relating…
We’re in the process of preparing our little one for Kindergarten. “You’re a big boy now, you’re about to go to school!”
“I don’t want to go to school, I’ll miss being home with my Mommy.”
Yep… he could have had the moon at that moment too. 🙂 They are precious and wonderful…huge, huge gifts in our lives.
How adorable! The things they say are so sweet, aren’t they?
