Coleslaw Recipe made Low Calorie with Yogurt

Posted on April 10, 2012October 20, 2013

coleslaw recipeI love coleslaw, especially in the summer. It’s crisp, cool and crunchy. It’s even good for you with all the cabbage that’s in it. There’s just one problem. All that mayonnaise that’s in the dressing.  It sort of cancels out the healthy greens.

So I made up my own low calorie coleslaw recipe substituting plain yogurt for the mayo. It’s still creamy and tangy, but without the extra fat and calories. You can eat this every day if you want. Enjoy!

I used to buy the ground beef too. Now I stopped buying it.Eat more chicken, but no ground meat at all . Our local store has the meat section where we can ask the person to ground the meat. It is a bit expensive than the packaged stuff. But I get the real thing.
I learned to add more veggies to meat dishes to make it more healthy.

I rarely buy ground beef but I do still eat it. I just try not to think to hard about it. I really should buy 1/4 of a cow and have it butchered but I don’t have the room to store that much meat! Your coleslaw looks delicious!
