I came across these extraordinary photos by Photographer Marianne Kjølner on Pinterest a few weeks ago.
The house and tree are located on dunes near the ocean where the wind blows all the time. The harsh environment makes it impossible for the tree to grow anywhere but in the shelter of the house. Rooted so closely to the house, the tree took on the shape of the house. Perhaps the homeowners helped it along a bit too.
As parents we are the house that shelters our children from the harsh reality of the world. Under the protection of our unconditional love they take root and thrive. What we teach them, the behavior that we model shapes who they become.
I find my shelter in the Lord. The closer I am to Him, the more I become like Him. Then the better able I am to shape my children into godly people.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2
Very nice picture. If that tree is that closer to my house, I will be a bit worried about the roots destroying the foundation. Love the look of bare branches against the house. I like the first picture better than the second one.
Awesome pictures!
The first one looks especially cool.
This is a really cool concept. Love how the picture follows the roof!
