If you drive down M-43, west of Kalamazoo toward Bangor, you can’t miss the bright orange barns and giant pumpkins that grace Gene the Pumpkin Man’s farm. It’s the perfect place in West Michigan to get into the fall spirit.
You’ll notice that there is a definite orange theme going on here at Gene the Pumpkin Man. You can’t help but want to put on a sweatshirt, sip a pumpkin spice latte and snack on doughnuts when you’re surrounded by all that pumpkin goodness.
If you’re shopping for pumpkins, you’ll find just about any shape and size you could possible want. There is row after row of pumpkins for carving.
You’ll also find tiny pumpkins for decorating your house. Aren’t they adorable?
There are even pumpkins for making pies and all sorts of gourds and squash.
There are so many pumpkins to pick from, it’s hard to choose which ones will come home with you.
The surrounding cornfields, trees with autumn colors and rustic outbuildings along with the orange pumpkins make the perfect backdrop for fall family photo opps.
Kids love picking out the perfect pumpkin. And if you purchase several large pumpkins, don’t worry! Gene provides wagons to help you take your large orange squash to the car.
Children will especially like playing in the pumpkin house. We need one of these in our backyard!
There’s also a small gift shop with seasonal decor and other items. So this fall, head to Kalamazoo, Michigan and take an autumn stroll through the pumpkins at Gene the Pumpkin Man.
