The last five posts in the the So You Want to Start a Blog? series are really just a general overview of the very basics of blogging and WordPress. There’s so much you can do with blogging and WordPress, and there’s always something new you can learn.
The good news is hundreds of bloggers have written tutorials, how-tos and blogging advice articles and posted them online. If you take the time to do some research and reading, you can find the answer for just about anything you want to do with your WordPress blog. So, for the last post in the series I’m leaving you with links to some of my favorite WordPress resources.
WordPress Resources
The WordPress Codex is always a good place start. It’s the Help resource for WordPress.
The WordPress Forums are also helpful. Ask questions and other experienced WordPress uses will answer.
If you want to delve into HTML W3Schools will help you get started. You can learn simple things like how to create an image link with code.
If you’re interested in the business and money-making side of blogging, you definitely want to check out Problogger, one of the best-known, successful bloggers out there.
WPbeginner has an archive of useful tutorials to help get you started, as well as more advanced how-tos for when you’re really ready to dig in.
Blogging Basics 101 features tutorials and advice from a successful, long-time mom blogger.
SEOmoz is the place to go if you want to learn how you can improve your blog’s ranking in search engines.
