Some days this mothering gig is hard.
Sometimes I feel like I’m going to lose it if one more little person asks me for one more cookie.
“NO! NO! YOU CAN NOT HAVE ANOTHER COOKIE. YOU HAD THREE COOKIES ALREADY, AND YOU GAVE TWO OF THEM TO THE DOG. DO YOU HAVE TO CLEAN UP THE MESS THE DOG MAKES WHEN SHE GETS SICK! NO! I DO! BESIDES IT’S ALMOST LUNCH, AND YOU ARE GOING TO EAT ALL OF YOUR GRILLED CHEESE. DO NOT FEED THAT TO THE DOG!”
And sometimes I actually do loose it.
When I feel a freak out like that coming on there’s one place I can turn to calm down, God’s Word. And if I do have a meltdown, it helps me refocus and change my attitude.

I put together a quick reference guide of scripture for some of the more common problems and frustrations that befall moms day-to-day. I think this is something every mom could use, so I’m sharing it here. Print it out, and keep some place where you find it easily. Better yet, hang it on the fridge.
Next time you feel like you’re going to lose it stop, take a deep breathe, seek God’s wisdom in his word and pray. It can change your whole day!
Found you from SITS. This is very good! And I think we moms need this everyday! Our kids really do know how to push our buttons and make us upset. Check out my 50+ Scriptures to Uplift you during Trials http://faithgracemotherhood.blogspot.com/2013/03/50-scriptures-to-uplift-you-during.html#
This is great! Thanks for taking the time to make it 🙂
Hi Colleen
Thanks for creating this, it’s great. Can I suggest you put your name and website at the bottom of the document? I’d like to print it to give to a few of my friends but I want to make sure you properly get the credit (also in case they’d like to look up your blog).
If you do add these details, could you please email me and let me know?
Thanks
Sally
I pinned this on Pinterest. It’s incredibly popular! It gets repinned all the time. You did good with this one Colleen.
