Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

Posted on July 8, 2013September 29, 2013

It’s way too hot to turn on the oven these day, but that doesn’t stop us from having dessert. These Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats taste like a candy bar, and there’s no baking required. But beware! They’re addictive.Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

It will take just 15 minutes to whip these up. Heat up some corn syrup and sugar on the stove, then stir in the peanut butter and rice krispies.

Press the mixture into a 9×13 pan. The easiest way to do that is to pour the rice krispie mix in the pan, then cover it with a piece of wax paper. Then you can use your hands to press it into the pan without getting sticky.

Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together and spread over the rice krispies. Now you just have to wait for it to cool and cut it into squares. If you can’t wait, you can speed up the cooling process by placing the pan in the fridge. Or the freezer if you’re really in a hurry for a chocolate fix!

My stomach is growling just looking at them! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe. Now, the question is this: how long do they last? I mean, before you eat them all?

I wish I could! Girl I just recently, as in yesterday, realized that I could fit into what I consider to be my “skinny jeans”! I am so not messing up my diet now! I am totally dropping this baby weight! Heck, the pants I put on yesterday I couldn’t fit into before I got pregnant! I am super excited…so…umm..you got any good sweetish recipes (maybe smoothies?) for a low cal type thing? lol
