Every year when I do St. Patrick’s Day crafts with David and Wade it always includes making leprechaun hats. It’s fitting for two mischievous boys who manage to get themselves involved some kind of high jinks almost every day. In Irish folklore Leprechauns are fairies who use their magic to both trick and delight unsuspecting people. Sounds just like my boys, except the magic part.
This is a very simple craft, and I made two different sets of printables, so you can decide how you want to make the leprechaun hat. You can print out this ready-made hat below. Print it on card stock, cut it out and you’ll need to attach an extra strip of paper to make the band fit around their head.
Or you can print out the pattern, cut it out of construction paper and glue it together.
Just click on the pictures for PDFs to download and print.
Whatever way you choose, it’s fun, easy and you’ll have your own cute little Leprechauns for St. Patrick’s Day.
Cute and simple!
