I decided it was time to try something new around here after eight years. We all need to mix it up a little now and then, right? So I’m dipping my toes into the world of vlogging.
I recorded and edited this last week. Then I quietly shared it on Facebook and YouTube. I finally got up the nerve today to post it here.
It seems ridiculous at my age to still be nervous about trying new things. But there’s that whole, “What if they hate it and think I’m lame?” thing always in the back of my mind. But then Wade, who is only six, reminded me that, “Failure leads to success.” Yep, he has definite potential as a motivational speaker. Move over Tony Robbins!
Then I also remembered that Amy Poehler quote that resurfaces every four to six weeks on Pinterest, “There’s power in looking silly and not caring that you do.” So if this makes me look silly, silly will just be my new superpower.
A star is born! You look and sound great. Nice editing, too. I’m glad you are going for it vlogging/periscoping/vining/whatevering. I’m not and I feel like my blog is soooo 2013. 🙂
