To make these, all you need are some Skittles, individually wrapped Rollos, snack size Ziploc bags, white card stock to print the cards on, scissors and a stapler.

You can use this link to download a PDF of the card that I made. They print two to a page, and they’re sized to fit the bags. Just fold the full page in half after printing and cut it down the middle. Then fold each card in half again. You will need to trim a little excess off the sides of the cards.

The hardest part about this craft is not eating all the candy before you make enough of them. Just fill each bag with as many Skittles and Rollos as you like. Fold the cards in half and use a stapler to attach the cards to the bags. Boom! An easy treat the kids are sure to love this St. Patrick’s Day.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the idea of Irish and lucky actually comes from Irish-Americans who went west to seek their fortunes during the goldrush. Apparently, Irish miners were the most successful and richest when it came to striking gold. So they became known as lucky. Or maybe they just knew where to find the leprechaun and his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Happy St. Paddy’s Day, and may the luck of the Irish be with you!
